Description

:iconz-parasites:

I present to you the new and improved Symbiote Stat Card!  This one is improved upon the last one due to issues that kept coming up from the old stat card.  The features of this card are listed below:

Name - Age - Species
These are the same as with the last cards.  Here you put in your character's name, their age, and the species of parasite they are infected with.

Stats
These stats indicate your character's strengths and weaknesses.

Natural Weapons
This is where you indicate which natural weaponry your character mmight have, based on the abilities given to them by their parasite.  (Will be elaborated on further down.)

Height
List your character's height, either in feet or meters, whichever you prefer.

Weight
List your character's weight, either in pounds or kilograms, whichever you prefer.

Other Info
Any information you'd like to share with us about your character's abilities that aren't listed on this card?  Simply type them out in this box.

Point System
How many boxes in the stats you can fill in.

PLEASE READ THE PARAGRAPH BELOW!

I'm going to go over the Point System carefully so that you all know what it's for.  You start with 30 "Points," which are the most amount of boxes in the stats you can fill out in total.  You don't have to use all 30 points, but you cannot use any more than that.  This means you can't fill out more than 30 boxes in total for all the stats.  This Point System is in place to prevent characters being overpowered.  If I notice any cards where there are more than 30 boxes filled out, I will notify you and ask that you fix your cards.  I apologize if I keep emphasizing the same point, but overpowered characters were a real issue with the old stat cards.  Now I am aiming to fix that problem.

Here is how the stats are measured and what they are for:

Power
Power represents your character's strength.  This is pure muscle power.  That means you cannot increase the value of this stat if your character has claws or teeth that could cause more damage.  This stat is purely muscle power.  The scale is as follows:

1 = Very weak
4 = Average strength as a normal human
7 = Can break bones and open steel doors, albeit with some effort
9 = Can lift a tank, though this will require a great deal of effort for the character and will be a large strain on their bodies.
10 = Near super strength.  (e.g. Able to lift more than a tank with one hand)

Defense
Defense represents your character's ability to withstand and/or endure damage.  This stat can be determined by whether your character has some form of natural armor, and/or if they naturally have a tough body, such as denser bones.  The scale is as follows:

1 = Very frail
4 = Average endurance as a normal human.
7 = Bones are not broken as easily; armor merely receives scratches from a knife.
9 = Can withstand most forms of physical damage (e.g. Shrug off a hit from a samurai sword); could survive a car crashing into them with only minor injuries.
10 = Near indestructible.  (e.g. Bullets and explosions pose no problem)

Speed
Speed represents how fast your character can move, whether via running, swimming, or flying.  This is their maximum speed.  NOTE: If your character moves in one environment faster than another, for example if they are amphibious and move faster in the water than on land, you can simply highlight the boxes to show the difference in speed between land and water.  This will not count as a deduction of points.  The scale is as follows:

1 = Very slow
4 = Average speed as a normal, healthy human.
7 = Average speed is around 40-45 mph or 65-72 km/h.  Examples of animals who are around this speed are tigers, horses, and common dolphins.
9 = Average speed is around 70-75 mph or 112-120 km/h.  Example would be the Cheetah.
10 = Any speed that is over 75 mph or 120 km/h.  Examples would predominately be fast birds, such as peregrine falcons, though some fish and insects can exceed 75 mph as well.

Stealth
Stealth represents the character's ability to remain undetected by others.  This stat can be determined through camouflage your character may possess, or simply their ability to remain hidden and out of sight without making much noise.  This stat will be more elaborated on in terms of the scale, since stealth can vary.  The scale is as follows:

1 = Is plainly visible no matter what the character does, or they are utterly clumsy.
4 = The character is able to hide themselves, though they posses no special skills.  Can only hide in obvious places. (e.g. behind a tree, in a dumpster, etc.)
7 = The character is able to skillfully hide themselves away from prying eyes.  They might have abilities such as being able to cling to walls above watchful eyes, or being able to hop from tree to tree without being noticed.  Ninja skills, sort of.
8 = This is where effective camouflage can factor into the equation, in this case the color, pattern, and texture of the skin.  Character's coloration can blend into the environment, but only suitable ones.  (e.g. A stick insect amongst the branches of a tree, a bushmaster viper hidden in leaf litter, etc.)
9 = Characters have the ability to change the color and patterns of their skin, to blend into any number of environments and terrain.  (e.g. An octopus)
10 = The character is virtually invisible to the naked eye.

Intellect
Intellect represents the intelligence of the character.  Intelligence isn't limited to simply academic knowledge, but can include street smarts as well.  The scale is as follows:

1 = Incredibly unintelligent.
4 = Average knowledge.  Possesses basic understanding and comprehension of information.
7 = Very intelligent.  Character could have been an all A+ student at most subjects in school.
9 = An expert at certain fields of knowledge.  Note, not everyone is knows everything in the world.  A 9 would be estremely limited to if the character is very knowledgeable of one subject or matters related to said subject.
10 = A literal prodigy in most or all things.

Natural weapons have been added as a feature to this new stat card.  These icons represent four natural weapon categories.  From left to right they are:

Teeth/Fangs
Teeth and fangs are used to inflict damage when a character bites down on an opponent.

Claws/Talons
Claws and Talons often inflict slicing or piercing wounds.

Horns
Horns can either be long or short, but all have the basic use of impaling enemies.

Biological Weapons

Biological weapons are those that are often unique to the animal kingdom.  Examples include, but are not limited to, skunk spray, blood shot from the eyes of a thorny devil, and the burning spray of the bombardier beetle.

That is most likely it for my explanation of how the new stat card works.  If there are any questions, ask me here and I will update the information.
